CAMARI CARTER HAWKINS is a writer from South Central, Los Angeles. Her first full-length collection, Death by Comb, was released with World Stage Press in May 2016. Camari’s poems have appeared in: Rise: An Anthology of Power Unity by Vagabond Press, The Best of The Poetry Salon 2013-2018 Anthology, The Dillydoun Review, Obsidian, and elsewhere.

Camari was a fellow in the Community Literature Initiative Poetry Publishing Workshop.
